The Eco Backpacker identified ways to improve mangrove restoration methodologies, developed funding communication materials and created engaging stoytelling narratives.

 

After shadowing restoration teams in the field, I made suggestions for site selection based on salinity, soil and elevation measurements. I used GIS to assess potential habitat shifts due to sea level rise. The identified habitat shifts aided in the selection of a resilient plant palette and permanence evaluations for blue carbon credit verification.

To further develop this initiative, I authored cases for support to solicit donations and co-sponsorship from universities and private funders.

Additionally, I developed short-form digital content about initiatives to sequester carbon through nature-based solutions, empower women via the development of sustainable livelihoods and establish regenerative silvofishery models.
